Compact Infrared Thermometer 12:1

The REED INSTRUMENTS R2300-NIST is a compact infrared thermometer designed for non-contact temperature measurement. It offers a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio suitable for HVAC technicians and maintenance professionals. The device arrives in new condition with a transparent housing.

Suited for spot checks not continuous monitoring

This instrument suits users needing quick surface-temperature readings on ducts, vents or electrical panels. It is not intended for buyers who require data logging, adjustable emissivity settings or a probe for direct-contact measurement. The fixed 12:1 ratio also limits accuracy on very small targets at long distances.

Stable readings during extended use

The thermometer maintains consistent performance during repeated scanning sessions across a shift. Its compact form factor allows prolonged handheld operation without fatigue affecting aim. The 752 model reference indicates the specific configuration calibrated to NIST traceable standards for reliable accuracy over time.
