ACME 622 security system battery

This replacement kit provides a 12V7A sealed lead-acid battery designed for the ACME 622 security panel. It restores backup power so alarms and monitoring remain active during mains failures. The unit arrives factory fresh and ready for immediate installation.

Capacity and headroom for alarm panels

The 12V7A rating supplies enough reserve energy for typical security system loads during short outages. Extended power cuts will eventually deplete the pack, requiring mains restoration to recharge. It is not sized for high-drain devices or whole-site backup.

Practical limits of SLA chemistry

Sealed lead-acid cells self-discharge over time and lose capacity after repeated deep cycles. The battery must be kept charged and replaced on a regular maintenance schedule. It cannot match the energy density or cycle life of newer chemistries.

Questions about this item

Power on the UPS and check that the front-panel status LED shows normal operation and that the self-test completes without a battery-fault warning.

The kit contains one factory-fresh 12 V 7 A high-rate discharge SLA battery; no extra cables, brackets or tools are included.
