6V 4.5A UPS Replacement Battery

The RefurbUPS 6V 4.5A battery serves as a direct replacement cartridge for Lithonia 6ELM2 emergency lighting units. It is designed for facility managers and maintenance teams who need a factory-fresh sealed lead-acid unit with T1/F1 terminals to restore backup illumination.

Sustained discharge performance

The high-rate discharge chemistry delivers the current required by emergency lighting circuits during extended power outages rather than brief surges. This behaviour supports the longer runtime demands of egress lighting systems when mains supply fails.

Installation and common issues

The kit includes comprehensive battery replacement installation instructions to guide technicians through the swap. The most frequent problem is incorrect terminal orientation on the T1/F1 connectors, which prevents the unit from charging or supplying power to the fixture.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 6 V 4.5 Ah SLA battery generate during continuous emergency-lighting duty?

The sealed lead-acid chemistry produces only modest warmth under normal float charge; no active cooling is required.

What must I already own to install this replacement cartridge?

You need a compatible Lithonia 6ELM2 emergency-lighting unit with T1/F1 terminal sockets and the basic hand tools to open the battery compartment.

Will the T1/F1 terminals on this 6 V 4.5 Ah pack connect directly to the wiring harness in my older Lithonia fixture?

Yes, the T1/F1 faston tabs match the original 6ELM2 harness, so the cartridge plugs in without adapters or soldering.
