Kit for Altronix AL1024ULACM systems

This kit supplies two 12V12A sealed lead-acid batteries designed as direct replacements for the Altronix AL1024ULACM security power supply. Installers and facility managers use it to restore backup runtime when the original cells reach end of life. The package weighs 20 units and arrives new, ready for immediate installation. No additional components are required to complete the swap.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

Sealed lead-acid chemistry runs passively with no fans, so the kit adds no audible noise to the equipment rack. Self-discharge is low, meaning the batteries hold charge during extended mains periods without drawing extra power. Normal float charging keeps each 12V block at optimal voltage while generating minimal heat inside the enclosure.

Questions about this item

How are the two 12V12A batteries installed in the Altronix AL1024ULACM kit, and what step is often missed?

Remove the UPS cover, disconnect the old pack, connect the red lead to the positive terminal and the black lead to the negative terminal on each 12V12A battery, then secure the straps before closing the cover.

When will the 12V12A SLA batteries in this kit need replacement, and what indicates it?

Expect three to five years of service; replace when runtime drops noticeably, the UPS emits a rapid beep, or the battery-status LED flashes a fault code.
