Compatible RBC123 Kit

This RefurbUPS kit replaces APC RBC123 cartridges with two 12V9A sealed lead-acid batteries. It fits UPS units that specify the APC BN1080G battery model. The package arrives factory fresh and includes step-by-step installation instructions.

Upgrades aged RBC123 cells

Swapping out depleted original batteries restores runtime for the same UPS chassis. The jump is worth it when the existing pack no longer holds charge through a typical outage or when self-test warnings appear. No firmware change or hardware modification is required for the swap.

SLA chemistry limits

Sealed lead-acid cells deliver high-rate discharge but lose capacity if stored discharged or cycled deeply. They operate safely in the original UPS enclosure without extra ventilation. Runtime scales with the connected load, so heavier equipment reduces available minutes.

Questions about this item

What physical space does the RBC123 kit require inside the UPS?

The kit contains two 12V9A batteries that occupy the standard RBC123 cartridge footprint.

What is the installation step users most often miss when fitting the BN1080G-compatible batteries?

Reconnect the battery wiring harness before closing the UPS cover so the unit recognises the new cells.

When will the 12V9A SLA cells in this kit need replacement?

Expect three to five years of service; replace when runtime drops below half the original backup time.
