Compatible APC RBC4 replacement kit

This kit supplies a single 12V12A sealed lead-acid battery designed to fit APC UPS units that require the RBC4 cartridge. It is intended for users who need a direct swap to restore backup runtime on an existing uninterruptible power supply.

High-rate discharge under sustained load

The battery is rated for high-rate discharge, meaning it can deliver the current demanded by a UPS during an extended power outage rather than only in brief bursts. This characteristic helps maintain connected equipment through longer interruptions.

Sealed construction limits heat and noise

As a sealed lead-acid unit, the battery operates without liquid venting and produces no audible fan noise during normal float charging or discharge. Power draw is limited to the UPS charging circuit, and the 10 weight figure reflects the single battery pack.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 12 V 12 A battery generate during continuous operation?

The sealed lead-acid cell produces minimal heat under normal float charge; the UPS enclosure handles dissipation.

What must I already own to use this replacement kit?

A compatible APC UPS that accepts an RBC4 cartridge; the kit is a direct drop-in for that model.

Will the 12 V 12 A cartridge work in an older APC UPS that originally used an RBC2?

No, the RBC4 has different dimensions and capacity; it only fits UPS units designed for the RBC4 form factor.
