Compatible replacement kit for APC Smart-UPS C 450

This replacement battery kit is designed for the APC Smart-UPS C 450 rack-mount UPS. It contains two 6V9A batteries that match the original RBC18 specification. The kit suits administrators who need a factory-fresh power source for their existing 1U unit.

Practical limits of the sealed lead-acid design

Sealed lead-acid chemistry degrades over time even when unused, so the kit should be installed promptly after purchase. Runtime scales with the connected load; the 9 Ah capacity supports the UPS rated output but cannot extend backup beyond the unit's inherent design limits.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the APC RBC18 compatible kit or another version for my SC450RMI1U?

This kit is built specifically for the APC Smart-UPS C 450 Rack Mount 1U I (SC450RMI1U) and matches the APC RBC18 specification exactly.

What does the 450 rating mean for actual runtime once the battery is installed?

The 450 refers to the UPS model capacity in volt-amperes; with two 6V9Ah cells installed, the unit will deliver its rated backup time for loads up to that level.
