What this kit is

This replacement battery kit contains three 12V7A sealed lead-acid cells built for the OptiUPS DS1000B uninterruptible power supply. It is intended for administrators or technicians who need to restore runtime on that specific UPS model. The pack arrives factory fresh with installation instructions included.

When to replace the cells

The kit replaces the original battery cartridge once its capacity has degraded and the UPS can no longer hold the required load during an outage. Swapping all three cells at once restores the designed backup time and avoids the imbalance that mixing old and new batteries creates.

Limits of the sealed lead-acid design

Sealed lead-acid chemistry self-discharges in storage and loses capacity permanently if left deeply discharged for long periods. The cells must be kept upright, charged periodically when not in use, and recycled at end of life rather than discarded with general waste.
