A 12 V 7 Ah sealed-lead-acid battery kit compatible with MGE Pulsar S4 UPS units
This kit provides a direct replacement battery cartridge for the MGE Pulsar S4 uninterruptible power supply. It contains one 12V7A sealed lead-acid battery designed for high-rate discharge applications. The product is new and factory fresh, intended for users who need to restore backup runtime to their existing UPS unit. Installation instructions are included to guide the replacement process.
The 12V7A battery uses valve-regulated lead-acid technology optimised for UPS duty cycles. It delivers the high current bursts required during power transitions without excessive heat buildup under normal float charge conditions. The sealed construction eliminates electrolyte maintenance and allows installation in any orientation. Operational noise is limited to the host UPS cooling system, as the battery itself has no moving parts.
This kit replaces a depleted original battery cartridge in a compatible MGE Pulsar S4 UPS, returning the system to its factory backup specification. The upgrade is worthwhile when the existing battery no longer holds sufficient charge to support connected equipment during outages. It is not suitable for expanding runtime beyond the original design or for use in UPS models outside the Pulsar S4 series.

Power off and unplug the UPS, remove the front cover, disconnect the old battery leads noting polarity, connect the new battery matching red to positive and black to negative, then refit the cover before restoring power. The step often missed is verifying lead polarity before tightening the terminals.
The sealed lead-acid battery typically requires replacement every three to five years depending on ambient temperature and discharge cycles; no water topping or electrolyte checks are needed.
The high-rate discharge chemistry delivers the rated 7 Ah capacity, but runtime shortens as cell voltage drops under continuous current draw, so the practical limit is the voltage cutoff threshold of the UPS inverter.
