Potter Electric PFC-5004 Compatible Kit

This kit provides two 12V9A sealed lead-acid batteries built as a direct replacement for the Potter Electric PFC-5004 security system. It suits installers and facility managers who need to restore backup power to existing alarm panels. The T1/F1 terminal layout matches the original cartridge connection requirement.

Practical limits of SLA chemistry

Sealed lead-acid cells lose capacity over time and with repeated deep discharges, so runtime will decrease as the batteries age. They must be kept charged during storage to prevent permanent sulphation. The 14 weight figure reflects the combined mass of the two units in the package.

Questions about this item

Should I choose this 12 V 9 Ah kit or look for a different capacity?

The kit supplies two 12 V 9 Ah SLA cells that match the Potter Electric PFC-5004 specification; if your panel calls for that exact voltage and capacity, this is the correct version.

What does the 12 V 9 Ah rating mean once the batteries are installed in my panel?

Each 12 V 9 Ah cell provides the voltage the panel expects and can deliver 9 amps for one hour, so the pair keeps the security system running during a mains outage.
