Targeted relief for active recovery

The RENPHO Active Thermacool 2 R-WMG18 is a handheld massage gun designed for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts seeking deep-tissue percussion. It combines infrared heating with three light modes and a cooling head offering four temperature levels down to 46°F. The device weighs 0.463 pounds and measures 18.7 cm by 5.5 cm by 17 cm.

Simple daily operation

Recharge the built-in 2500 mAh battery and select speed or temperature via the VA display in one second. The brushless motor runs at 40 dB, so sessions stay quiet. A common issue is forgetting to cycle through the four heat levels up to 113°F before switching to cold, which can reduce the intended contrast therapy effect.

Limits of percussion therapy

The 10 mm amplitude and 3200 RPM motor deliver up to 45 lbs of stall force, suitable for large muscle groups after hiking or climbing. It cannot replace professional physiotherapy for acute injuries or structural issues. Users needing continuous stationary pressure or hands-free application will find the handheld form factor restrictive.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the infrared heating is active after turning on the R-WMG18?

The VA display shows the selected heat level and temperature setting; the heating head uses three light modes at different wavelengths, and built-in temperature controls keep the surface at up to 113°F (45°C) during use.

What accessories come with the RENPHO Active Thermacool 2 and what must I buy separately?

The box contains the massage gun with integrated heating and cooling heads, a rechargeable 2500 mAh battery, and a charging cable; no extra attachments or power adapters are included.

Which temperature range should I choose between the 4 heat levels up to 113°F and 4 cold levels down to 46°F?

Use the heat levels to warm muscles before activity and the cold levels to soothe them afterward; the device lets you switch between the two ranges in one second via the VA display.
