Retevis RB48 four-pack overview

The Retevis RB48 is a set of four professional two-way radios built for demanding job sites. Each unit uses a PC and TPE rubber housing that survives repeated two-metre drops. An IP67 rating keeps out water and dust in harsh environments.

Suitable users and limitations

Construction crews and industrial teams needing simple, rugged handsets for on-site coordination will benefit from the long-life battery and hands-free VOX function. Buyers who require communication beyond the stated building-penetration capability should consider other options.

2000 mAh battery and USB-C charging

A 2000 mAh lithium cell powers multiple shifts, while USB-C ports and a dual charging base give flexible replenishment. This capacity and charging combination decides whether the radios last through a full workday without extra packs.

Questions about this item

What IP rating does the RB48 have and what does it protect against?

The RB48 carries an IP67 rating, meaning it is fully dust-tight and can survive immersion in water up to one metre for thirty minutes, so it keeps working in rain, mud or dusty job sites.

What physical mounting hardware is included for the RB48?

Each radio ships with a reinforced belt clip designed to withstand long shifts and heavy workloads, and the short antenna lets the unit sit securely in a pocket without snapping.

How do I charge the RB48 pack and what mistake should I avoid?

Charge the 2000 mAh batteries via the USB-C ports on each radio or use the supplied dual-charging base; the common error is seating a radio crookedly on the base so the contacts do not connect.
