Target Users

This five-piece lanyard set is designed for women in teaching, nursing and office roles who need to display ID badges or carry keys throughout the day. The breakaway clasp releases under tension for safety in active environments, while the wooden beads provide a lightweight, decorative alternative to standard nylon straps.

Retractable Reel Performance

A zinc-alloy reel extends smoothly to 12.9 inches, allowing users to swipe badges or unlock doors without removing the lanyard. The mechanism is built for frequent daily use and addresses the sticking issues common with basic cord reels. Wooden beads and silicone accents remain smooth against skin and hair during long shifts.

Included Accessories

The kit supplies one beaded lanyard, one retractable reel and two clear PVC badge holders — one horizontal and one vertical. This combination lets the wearer carry employee badges, cruise cards, student IDs and keys simultaneously without buying separate holders.

Questions about this item

How is the retractable reel attached to the wooden beaded lanyard and what is the step people often miss?

The zinc alloy retractable reel connects to the lanyard via its built-in clip; the step often missed is ensuring the reel's clip is fully snapped onto the lanyard's loop before extending the 12.9" cord to prevent the badge holder from detaching during a swipe.

Which components in the 5-piece set will need replacement first with daily use?

The two clear PVC ID holders, one horizontal and one vertical, are the most likely to need replacement as they can crack or cloud over time, while the wooden beads, silicone accents, and zinc alloy reel are more durable.

What is the first limit reached when the retractable cord is extended repeatedly throughout a shift?

The 12.9-inch extension limit of the zinc alloy reel is reached first; the cord stops extending at this length, requiring the user to move closer to the reader rather than pulling further.
