Retractable badge holders for daily carry

This two-pack supplies a black and a white reel for staff who need quick access to ID cards or keys. Each unit clips to a belt loop, bag strap or pocket and extends so the badge reaches a reader without unclipping. The reels suit office, healthcare, industrial and outdoor roles where hands-free entry is required.

26-inch cord tested to 100000 cycles

The 0.04-inch high-density fiber rope extends 26 inches and withstands over 100000 retractions. Retraction force reaches 8.0 oz, strong enough for roughly 18 keys or small tools such as a flashlight or multi-tool. The ABS shell and zinc-alloy carabiner resist impact and corrosion while weighing 29 g per reel.

Enlarged switch eases one-handed operation

A widened press area on the carabiner lets users with thick fingers or gloves open the gate without fumbling. The smooth cord feed reduces snagging when the badge is pulled and released. Two colour-coded reels let teams assign colours by shift or department for instant visual identification.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the badge reel to my belt loop without the carabiner slipping off?

Press the enlarged switch area on the zinc-alloy carabiner to open the gate, slide the gate over the belt loop or strap, then release the switch so the spring-loaded gate snaps shut and locks the reel in place.

What part of the retractable keychain will wear out first and need replacement?

The 0.04 in high-density fiber cord is rated for 100,000 retraction cycles; after that the cord or internal spring may lose tension and the reel should be replaced.

How many keys can the reel hold before the retraction force is overcome?

The reel exerts up to 8.0 oz of retraction force, which the manufacturer equates to roughly 18 typical keys; exceeding that weight will prevent the cord from fully retracting.
