The Retropia 32 mm f/11 is a fixed-focus prime made from repurposed disposable-camera optics. It mounts on Sony E-mount mirrorless bodies and produces a soft, nostalgic look straight from the sensor. The pancake barrel measures 2.76 inches on each side and weighs very little. Photographers who want instant film character without post-processing will find it a creative tool.

Fixed aperture and focus limits

The lens stays at f/11 with no diaphragm blades, so depth of field is deep and exposure control rests on shutter speed and ISO alone. Focus is factory-set to infinity from 1.5 metres, meaning anything closer stays soft. Magnification is 0.11× and there is no image stabilisation, so handheld video may show shake in low light.

Camera settings to enable

Your Sony body must allow shooting without electronic lens communication; enable “no-lens release” or “no-lens shooting” in the menu before use. The mount fits full-frame models such as the A7 series, A7C, A9 and A1 lines plus FX cinema bodies, and APS-C models including the a6000 through a6700 and ZV-E10 series. No firmware update or adapter is required.
