11 inch gas lift cylinder

The Revitol 971224 is a pneumatic rod designed to replace worn cylinders in standard office, bar and computer chairs. Its industry-standard diameter means fitment depends mainly on matching the overall length to the original part.

280 mm total length with 12 cm stroke

At 280 mm overall and 217 mm outer cylinder length the unit suits chairs needing an 11 inch profile; the spindle extends up to 12 cm for height adjustment. Chairs requiring a longer or shorter cylinder will not be compatible.

Universal diameter for drop-in replacement

The metal cylinder uses the common pneumatic rod diameter so it slides into most existing bases without extra adapters. No additional hardware is included, so the original chair washers and clips must be reused during installation.

Questions about this item

Will the 280 mm total length and 217 mm outer cylinder fit the gas lift currently in my office chair?

Measure your existing cylinder; if the overall length is 280 mm and the outer tube is 217 mm, the Revitol 971224 will match because the industry uses a universal rod diameter.

How can I verify the cylinder operates correctly after installation?

Sit on the chair and confirm the seat height adjusts smoothly through the full 12 cm spindle extension without sticking or sudden drops.

Does the package include any mounting hardware or only the cylinder itself?

Only the single chair gas lift cylinder is supplied; any retaining clips, washers or tools must be sourced separately.
