Dell Latitude CPU Fan Replacement

This new fan assembly fits Dell Latitude E7440, E7420 and E7450 laptops. It replaces part numbers 0HMWC7, 006PX9, KSB05105HC and KSB0605HCA01. The unit is a direct mechanical match for the original cooling module. It restores proper airflow to the processor heatsink.

For Latitude E7 owners with a noisy or failed fan

Technicians servicing the listed models can install this four-wire cooler without modification. Builders working on other Dell series or different brands should look elsewhere because the mounting holes and connector are model-specific. Users needing a complete heatsink assembly will not find one here.

Four-wire PWM connector for speed control

The cable provides four lines so the system can regulate fan speed through pulse-width modulation. A three-wire header cannot use the speed-reporting function. Verify the motherboard header matches before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does this fan cooler fit my Dell Latitude E7440 without extra parts?

The cooler is listed for Dell E7440, E7420 and E7450 models, so it mounts directly in those chassis.

Will the four-wire connector work with the three-pin header on my older Dell motherboard?

The unit uses a 4-line cable; a 4-pin PWM plug will still run on a 3-pin header, but speed control reverts to voltage mode.

How can I confirm the cooler is spinning correctly after installation?

Enter the BIOS hardware monitor or use a utility such as HWMonitor and verify the CPU fan RPM reads a steady value above zero.
