A Tesla-to-J1772 charging adapter rated 250 V and 80 A that unlocks 15,000 Level 1 and Level 2 Tesla stations for any EV
This adapter lets drivers of any electric vehicle connect to Level 1 and Level 2 Tesla charging stations. It supports stations rated at 40, 48 or 80 amps and up to 250 volts AC. The compact black unit measures 4.9 by 2.9 inches and includes a travel case. It does not work with Tesla Superchargers.
The adapter handles continuous loads up to 80 amps, allowing charging speeds as high as 20 kilowatts. A built-in safety lock keeps the connection secure during long sessions. Thermal limits follow the J1772 standard, so the unit will throttle or stop if the station or vehicle signals an over-temperature condition.
Access to over 15000 stations across the US and Canada is enabled by the J1772 connector. The interface caps AC charging at the station's rated amperage, so an 80 amp station delivers up to 80 amps and a 40 amp station delivers up to 40 amps. DC fast charging and Supercharger protocols are not supported.

The adapter is rated for up to 80 A at 250 V AC with a maximum output of 20 kW. It has no active cooling, so heat depends on the station and cable; the safety lock helps maintain a secure connection during long sessions.
Your EV needs a standard J1772 charge port. The adapter plugs into Tesla Wall Connectors, Mobile Connectors or Destination Chargers (40 A, 48 A or 80 A, Level 1 or Level 2) and presents a J1772 connector to the car.
Yes. The adapter supports 40 A, 48 A and 80 A Tesla AC stations, so it will pass through whatever the older unit delivers, up to its 250 V, 20 kW rating. It does not work with Tesla Superchargers.
