Proximity enrolment reader
The RF IDEAS pcProx 82 series reads 125 kHz proximity credentials for enrolment tasks. It connects through a USB port and draws power from the same connection. The unit is suited to organisations that issue HID Prox badges and want to capture card data directly into host applications.
Capacity and headroom
The reader handles standard low-frequency proximity cards used for access control and time-and-attendance enrolment. It does not support 13.56 MHz contactless technologies, so sites using MIFARE, iCLASS or NFC badges will need a different model.
Six-inch USB cable
A fixed 6 inch USB tail links the device to the host, limiting placement to positions close to the computer or hub. The short lead reduces cable clutter but prevents mounting the reader at a distance from the workstation.
