RFID 13.56 MHz USB reader
The RF IDEAS RDR-7511AKU is a compact USB nano reader operating at 13.56 MHz for contactless smart-card enrolment and authentication. It reads CSN data from HID iCLASS, ISO 14443A/B, MIFARE, MIFARE DESFire, ISO 15693, NFC 1, FeliCa and CEPAS cards. The vertical form factor plugs directly into a host without a cable.
Suited for PC-based enrolment stations
This reader suits administrators who need a small, driver-less device to register badges at a workstation or thin client. It is not intended for applications that require a long read range, outdoor-rated housing, or direct integration into embedded hardware without a USB host.
Single specification that decides fit
The only specification that determines suitability is the 13.56 MHz operating frequency combined with the supported ISO 14443, ISO 15693, MIFARE, DESFire, NFC 1, FeliCa and CEPAS protocols. If the target credentials use a different frequency or protocol, this reader will not read them.
