Wave ID Plus Mini Reader

The RF IDEAS RDR-80032BKU-V2-C16 is a compact USB barcode scanner built for point-of-sale environments. It reads 1D and 2D codes directly at the checkout counter. The unit suits retail staff and inventory teams who need a small, tethered device for daily scanning tasks.

Plug-and-play USB setup

Connect the scanner to an available USB port and it enumerates as a standard HID keyboard device. No driver installation is required on supported operating systems. The most common issue is insufficient port power on unpowered hubs, which can cause intermittent reads or device resets.

Verify USB port and OS support

Confirm the host system provides a standard USB Type-A port delivering 5 V power. Ensure the operating system accepts HID keyboard input without additional configuration. The scanner draws power from the bus, so port current limits should be checked if other high-draw peripherals share the same controller.
