The RICHELIEU 961641 is a 60 mm bi-metal hole saw supplied with a screw-in mandrel and pilot drill. M3 high-speed steel teeth are electron-beam welded to a heavy-duty backing plate for consistent hardness and rigidity. The 4/6 variable tooth pitch cuts metal, plastic and wood efficiently and safely.

Replacing Worn or Undersized Cutters

Swap out a dull saw when tooth edges no longer leave clean kerfs or when the current diameter is smaller than the 60 mm hole required. The jump is worth it if the job demands the larger 60 mm size or the variable pitch for mixed-material work. Not for users who need diameters below 45 mm or above 60 mm.

Straightforward Mandrel Mounting

The included screw-in mandrel threads directly into the saw body and the pilot drill centres the cut. The EZE Slot allows quick plug removal on this 60 mm blade. Common issues arise if the mandrel loosens under vibration or if the pilot drill dulls before the teeth, so check tightness and sharpness before each use.
