Vintage Aluminum Swivel Caster

The RICHELIEU BP81000202AB90 is a single-wheel aluminum caster with a vintage double-ring design. Its swivel action allows multidirectional movement for furniture or light industrial carts. The finish blends with both contemporary and traditional aesthetics. Easy installation suits DIY upgrades and professional refits alike.

Load Capacity and Practical Limits

The caster handles typical light-duty loads found on office chairs, display units or mobile shelving. It runs out of headroom when asked to support heavy machinery, loaded tool chests or constant high-cycle use. The aluminum construction resists corrosion but is not rated for impact-heavy environments. California Proposition 65 warnings apply to chemical exposure during handling.

Build Integration and Clearance

A standard mounting plate attaches with common fasteners, requiring only basic tools and a flat, rigid surface. The compact vintage profile frees visual space and keeps ride height low for stability. Swivel clearance must be checked against adjacent legs or walls before final tightening. No brake or locking mechanism is included, so stationary applications need separate restraints.
