Ricoh BJ-12 dual-bay charger for DB-120 batteries

The Ricoh BJ-12 charges two DB-120 batteries at the same time using the USB cable supplied with your Ricoh camera. It is built for photographers who need spare power ready for extended shooting sessions.

Sustained charging behaviour

Both bays operate together without a stated drop in speed, so two depleted cells reach full capacity in one cycle. The unit draws power from the camera's USB source, so output is limited by that supply rather than an internal regulator.

Installation and common issues

Connect the charger to the camera's USB cable, insert the batteries, and charging begins automatically. The only frequent problem is attempting to charge non-DB-120 cells, which the bays will not accept.

Questions about this item

How hot or noisy does the BJ-12 get when charging two DB-120 batteries all day?

The charger has no fan and draws power from a USB cable, so it runs silently and stays cool during extended use.

What must I already own to power the BJ-12 charger?

You need the USB cable supplied with your Ricoh camera and a standard USB power source such as a computer port or wall adapter.

Will the BJ-12 work with older Ricoh batteries I still have?

No, the BJ-12 is designed exclusively for DB-120 batteries and will not charge earlier Ricoh battery models.
