Compact manual cutter for copper
The Ridgid 32975 is a hand-operated tubing cutter built for copper, aluminium, brass and plastic lines. Its zinc body and machined-steel cutting wheel handle diameters from 1/8 in. to 5/8 in., making it suited to plumbing, HVAC and light automotive work. The 2-1/8 in. overall length lets it reach tight spots where larger cutters cannot fit. It is not intended for steel pipe or diameters beyond the stated range.
Grooved rollers enable close-to-flare cuts
Grooved rollers guide the tubing so the wheel can cut near flared ends without damaging the bead, a practical advantage when shortening or repairing existing flare connections. The manual cutting action gives the user direct feel and control, avoiding the deformation that powered cutters can introduce on thin-wall material. Capacity tops out at 5/8 in., so larger-diameter jobs require a different tool.
Ergonomic handle and standard replacement wheel
An ergonomic handle reduces hand fatigue during repetitive cuts, while the zinc frame resists corrosion in damp environments. The cutting wheel uses the common E-3469/33185 replacement part, so spares are easy to source and swap without special tools. No powered drive or ratcheting mechanism is fitted, keeping the design simple and reliable for occasional or daily use.

Questions about this item
Will the 32975 cutter handle the 1/2 in. copper pipe I already have in place?
Yes, the 32975 cuts copper, aluminium, brass and plastic from 1/8 in. up to 5/8 in., so standard 1/2 in. pipe is well within its range.
How do I know the 32975 is cutting cleanly once I start using it?
A clean cut leaves a smooth, burr-free end on the copper or brass without crushing the tube; the grooved rollers keep the wheel tracking straight for close-to-flare cuts.
Does the 32975 come with a spare cutting wheel or do I need to order part 33185 separately?
The cutter ships with one installed wheel; the replacement wheel (mfr. no. E-3469/33185) is sold separately.
