Ridgid Liquid Cutting Oil 74012 1 gal

This cutting oil is formulated for pipe threading operations. It suits plumbers and maintenance crews who cut threads on steel or iron pipe. The mineral base oil reduces friction and heat during the cutting process. It comes in a one-gallon amber jug for shop or field use.

Amber jug packaging for storage and handling

The amber jug protects the fluid from light exposure during storage. A one-gallon volume supports multiple threading jobs without frequent refills. The container design allows controlled pouring onto dies and taps. No additional accessories or software are included with this product.

Questions about this item

Does the cutting oil degrade or need replacement after a certain period?

The mineral-based fluid does not carry a published shelf-life; store the jug sealed and at moderate temperature and it remains usable for threading work.

What limits how long I can run a threading job continuously with this oil?

Heat buildup in the dies and workpiece is the first constraint — the oil cools the cut, but prolonged heavy threading will still raise temperatures enough to require pauses.
