Riedel Ouverture white wine glasses

Introduced in 1989, the Ouverture collection from Riedel suits the straightforward customer who appreciates good wines at reasonable prices. The set contains two glasses, each with a mid-size bowl designed to enhance medium-bodied white wines. They are practical for parties or everyday use.

Buyers seeking glassware for medium whites

These glasses suit drinkers who prefer medium-bodied white wines and want a simple pair for regular use. They do not suit buyers who need larger bowls for full-bodied whites or reds, nor those who want stemless tumblers or larger multi-piece sets.

Set of two with 280 ccm volume

The bundle provides exactly two glasses, each holding 280 ccm, so you can serve a pair of guests without opening a larger pack. No additional accessories, decanters or cleaning tools are included.

Questions about this item

What type of wine is the 280 ccm mid-size bowl designed for?

The bowl is shaped to enhance medium-bodied white wines, helping aromas concentrate and directing the wine to the right part of the palate.

Are these glasses machine-made or hand-blown like older Riedel crystal?

The Ouverture range is machine-made glass, so it is more durable for everyday use and dishwasher-safe while keeping the varietal-specific shape.

How can I check the set matches the 1989 Ouverture specification after unpacking?

Confirm there are exactly two glasses, each with a mid-size bowl and the Riedel logo on the base; the volume per glass is 280 ccm.
