Rii RK202 RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard

The Rii RK202 is a full-size wired keyboard with 104 keys and RGB rainbow backlighting. It connects via USB and includes a wrist rest for extended comfort during gaming or office work. The membrane switches provide a mechanical feel without the noise of true mechanical switches.

Who This Suits and Who Should Look Elsewhere

This keyboard suits Windows, Mac OS, Android and ChromeOS users who want a quiet, backlit board for mixed gaming and productivity. It is not for buyers who need per-key RGB customisation, true mechanical switches, dedicated macro keys or wireless connectivity.

Installation and Common Issues

Plug the USB cable into a free port and the keyboard works immediately without drivers. The backlight enters sleep mode after ten minutes of inactivity and wakes on any key press. Note that the RGB lighting effects are not supported on Mac OS. The key legends are laser-etched and grip-coated for durability.

Questions about this item

Does the RK202 need a USB port and a Windows 98 or later PC to operate?

Yes, the keyboard connects via a wired USB cable and the supplier lists Windows 98 or later as the supported operating system.

Will the RGB rainbow backlight stay on when I plug the RK202 into my older Mac running Mac OS?

The supplier notes the rainbow backlight cannot support the Mac OS system, so the lighting will not function on Mac even though the keys work.

How can I confirm the RK202 has entered its power-saving sleep mode after ten minutes of inactivity?

The backlight turns off automatically; pressing any key wakes the board and restores the RGB lighting.
