40 Gbps NVMe Dock for M-Key SSDs

The RIITOP docking station connects a single M-key NVMe SSD over USB4 at up to 40 Gbps. It uses the ASM2464PD chipset with PCIe 4.0 x4 transfer mode and supports drives up to 8 TB. The aluminium enclosure is tool-free and fits 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 form factors.

USB4 and Thunderbolt Backwards Compatibility

The dock works with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4, USB 3.2, USB 3.1, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 hosts. It does not support hot-plugging, so the SSD must not be swapped while the dock is connected. Operating temperatures can exceed 60 °C, so the drive should not be touched during use.

Replaces Slower USB 3.2 Enclosures

This unit upgrades from common USB 3.2 Gen 2 enclosures that top out at 10 Gbps, delivering four times the bandwidth for large-file workflows. It is not for buyers who need SATA-based M.2 drives, B-key or B+M-key SSDs, or AHCI PCIe drives, as none of those are supported.
