Whole-home security and Wi-Fi 6 router

The Ring Alarm Pro 8-Piece kit merges a wireless security system with an eero Wi-Fi 6 router into a single hub. It protects up to four entry points with contact sensors and covers one hallway or room with a motion detector. The unit delivers wireless coverage up to 1500 sq. ft. for compatible devices.

Sustained operation with backup internet

The system maintains security monitoring and network connectivity during a primary internet outage through 24/7 Backup Internet, a feature that requires a separate Ring Protect Pro subscription. Battery-powered sensors continue reporting status to the hub without mains power. The integrated router keeps the local Wi-Fi 6 network active for connected smart-home devices.

Upgrade path from basic alarm or standalone router

This kit replaces a traditional alarm panel and a separate wireless router with one device managed across the Ring and eero apps. The jump is worthwhile for households that want professional-grade monitoring options and mesh-ready Wi-Fi 6 without multiple pieces of hardware. It is not suited for buyers who need more than four entry sensors or motion coverage for multiple large rooms.

Questions about this item

How loud does the Ring Alarm Pro kit get when it runs continuously?

The kit operates silently with no moving parts, so it adds no audible noise during all-day use.

What existing internet service is required for the Wi-Fi 6 router to function?

A primary broadband connection is needed; the router then provides backup via 4G LTE with a Ring Protect Pro subscription.

Will the contact and motion sensors work with my older Ring cameras and doorbells?

Yes, all devices pair through the Ring App, so legacy Ring products integrate directly with this kit.
