Power Specification

This 240W AC adapter delivers 20V at 12A through a 6.0x3.7mm barrel connector with a centre pin. It accepts a universal 100-240V 50-60Hz input rated at 3.5A and carries the ADP-240EB B part number for direct identification.

Replacement Scope

It replaces the original charger for listed ASUS ROG Zephyrus, Strix SCAR, Strix G and ProArt Studiobook models including the 15, 16 and 17 inch series. The upgrade is worth it when the factory unit is lost, damaged or no longer holds a stable charge under load.

Build Integration

The adapter plugs directly into the laptop DC-in jack without extra cables or converters. Built-in protections cover overcurrent, short circuit, overvoltage, overload, overheat, surge and undervoltage conditions. It is not for buyers who need a USB-C PD source, a different barrel size or a lower wattage unit for ultraportable charging.

Questions about this item

What DC plug size does this 240W adapter use for the laptop connection?

The adapter uses a 6.0x3.7 mm barrel connector with a centre pin, matching the ADP-240EB B specification.

How do I install this charger, and what common mistake should I avoid?

Plug the AC cord into the adapter, then insert the 6.0x3.7 mm tip fully until the centre pin seats; the frequent error is leaving the tip partially inserted, which breaks the power circuit.

What part of this power supply is most likely to need replacement over time?

The detachable AC inlet cord and the 6.0x3.7 mm DC cable are the wear items; the brick itself has overcurrent, overvoltage, short-circuit, overload, overheat, surge and undervoltage protections that extend its service life.
