Automatic sharpening for 6–8 mm pencils

The RIYO RIYO ps04 is an electric pencil sharpener designed for No.2 graphite and coloured pencils with a 6–8 mm diameter. It stops automatically once a durable point is reached, delivering a sharpened pencil in roughly three to five seconds. The unit suits students, teachers, artists, engineers and anyone who needs consistent points without manual effort.

Heavy-duty helical blade under repeated use

A 360° steel helical blade is rated for over 3,000 sharpening cycles and offers three selectable sharpness settings: sharp, medium or blunt. The mechanism maintains cutting performance across long sessions, and the large-capacity shavings reservoir keeps debris contained while the sharpener runs continuously.

Power flexibility and safety limits

The sharpener operates from four AA batteries (not included) or an AC adapter, allowing use at a desk or on the move. An 8 mm shaving entrance prevents fingers from reaching the blade. Soft-core media such as crayons, chalk or waxy pencils are not supported and will not sharpen correctly in this device.

Questions about this item

Does the 360° helical blade heat up or make much noise when I run it all day?

The heavy-duty steel blade is rated for over 3000 sharpenings and stops automatically once the point is ready, so continuous use stays cool and quiet.

What must I already own to power the sharpener?

You need either an AC adapter or four AA batteries — neither is included in the box.

Will it handle the older coloured pencils I keep in my desk?

It sharpens standard 6-8 mm graphite and coloured pencils, but soft-core types such as crayons or waxy pencils are not suitable.
