Generates 250 to 750 mV for standing pilot systems with a 36 in coaxial cable
The Robertshaw 1951-536 is a replacement thermopile designed for standing pilot systems in gas-fired appliances. It generates 250 to 750 millivolts to power the gas valve without external electricity. The 36-inch cable and coaxial connection fit universal CP-2 series pilots.
The thermopile operates passively using heat from the pilot flame, producing zero noise and drawing no electrical power. Its output varies between 250 and 750 millivolts depending on flame quality and connection integrity. The coaxial process connection ensures stable signal transfer during normal operation.
This part replaces a failed or weak thermopile in existing standing pilot assemblies. The jump is worth it when the pilot stays lit but the main burner will not ignite due to low millivolt output. It is not for electronic ignition systems or appliances requiring a different probe diameter or cable length.

Connect the coaxial 3/8 in process connection, insert the 3/8 in diameter probe 2 in into the pilot flame, and tighten the included mounting nut.
Replace it when the millivolt output drops below the 250 to 750mV range or the pilot fails to stay lit consistently.
The 250 to 750mV range is the operating window; extended heat exposure can cause the probe to drift below 250mV first.
