A tower-defence action game for PC on Steam offering four-player co-op, rogue-lite builds and randomised orc waves
Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap is a third-person tower defence shooter from Robot Entertainment, Inc. The game casts you as a War Mage defending rifts against waves of orcs and other creatures. It releases on PC via Steam on 27 January 2025 and requires a Steam account for activation. The title supports English voice-over with subtitles in thirteen additional languages.
This entry adds four-player co-operative play, rogue-lite build variation and expanded outdoor environments to the established formula. Progression systems are deeper than in prior instalments, and randomised buffs and debuffs alter heroes, traps, weapons and levels each run. Physics-driven combat and melee options provide new ways to eliminate enemies whether playing solo or in a full squad.
The game suits players who enjoy blending action shooting with strategic trap placement and replayable rogue-lite structure. It is not designed for buyers who want a pure strategy experience without direct combat, nor for those seeking a narrative-driven single-player campaign. Offline play is not possible because activation and DRM rely on a Steam connection.
