What the plate is and who it fits

The Roby Technology XLR RJ11 wall plate is a new white faceplate that mounts into a standard 86 mm square opening and provides two XLR ports plus one RJ11 keystone for audio and telephone cabling. It suits home or office installations that want a tidy, professional finish without exposed cables.

How it fits into a build and what it frees up

The plate includes the two keystone modules and two mounting screws so installers can secure it directly to a back box without extra hardware. By terminating cables behind the wall it removes floor-level clutter and keeps signal paths short for microphone or phone lines.

Behaviour under sustained load

The polycarbonate thermoplastic construction resists impacts and heavy force, so the faceplate retains its shape and colour after years of daily plugging and unplugging. The material stays rigid in normal indoor temperatures, preventing the loosening that can occur with cheaper plastics over time.

Questions about this item

Does the 86 mm poly-carbonate thermoplastic wall plate warp or degrade after years of continuous indoor use?

The high-quality poly-carbonate thermoplastic material is specified for long-term use and resists impacts and heavy force, so it will not warp or degrade under normal indoor conditions.

Will the white plastic faceplate yellow or become brittle from heat generated by cables running behind it all day?

The plate is designed for indoor cable management and the poly-carbonate material handles typical ambient temperatures without yellowing or becoming brittle.

Do I need to supply my own XLR and RJ-11 keystone modules, or are the 2 XLR and 1 RJ-11 modules already fitted?

The wall plate ships with two XLR and one RJ-11 keystone modules pre-installed, plus two mounting screws.
