Rectangular dual-bay NVMe enclosure with USB-C port and clone button

Rocketek

Rocketek USB-C 3.1 Gen2 10Gbps Dual Bay M.2 NVMe Enclosure Offline Cloner Tool-Free

SKU CH-NW1R-HKDVF

Dual-bay M.2 NVMe enclosure with 10Gbps USB 3.1 Gen2 and one-key offline cloning for 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 drives

  • 10Gbps USB 3.1 Gen2 transfer speeds
  • Offline one-key cloning without a PC
  • Dual-bay simultaneous read and write
  • Tool-free installation for M-Key and B+M Key NVMe
  • Supports 2230 2242 2260 2280 form factors

Dual-Bay NVMe Enclosure

This USB-C enclosure accepts two M-Key or B+M Key NVMe PCIe SSDs in 2230 2242 2260 and 2280 form factors. It connects to PCs laptops smart TVs PS4 and XBOX for simultaneous read and write access on both drives. Tool-free installation makes drive swaps quick and simple.

10Gbps USB 3.1 Gen2 Interface

The single specification that decides fit is the USB 3.1 Gen2 10Gbps host connection. It delivers up to 10Gbps bandwidth shared across both bays so the enclosure only suits systems with a USB-C or USB-A 10Gbps port. Slower ports will bottleneck transfer speeds.

Offline Clone and Dual-Drive Capacity

Two NVMe SSDs operate at once giving combined capacity equal to the sum of both installed drives. The one-key offline clone function copies the source disk to the target disk without a host computer though target data is erased. Builders needing more than two simultaneous NVMe drives or a hardware RAID controller should look elsewhere.

Which USB standard does the enclosure use and what does it limit in practice?

It uses USB 3.1 Gen2, capping the combined bandwidth of both bays at 10 Gbps.

What physical M.2 lengths and keying does the tool-free tray accept?

The tray fits M key and B+M key NVME drives in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths.
