Two-Person Wireless System
The RODE Wireless GO Gen 3 is a compact digital microphone kit built for two-person interviews, vlogs and podcasts. It uses Series IV 2.4 GHz transmission to send audio from two clip-on transmitters to a dual-channel receiver. The system records 32-bit float backup audio on each transmitter and connects to cameras or mobile devices via 3.5 mm analog and USB-C digital outputs. Operation is designed for quick power-on-and-go use.
32-Bit Float Backup Recording
The 32-bit float recording on each transmitter captures an extremely wide dynamic range so digital clipping is virtually eliminated. This safety track runs independently of the live wireless feed, giving you a clean file even if the transmitted signal is overloaded. Intelligent GainAssist automatically sets input levels, while the Rode Central app unlocks deeper customisation and advanced features beyond the simple on-unit controls. Lavalier microphones can be plugged into the 3.5 mm inputs on the transmitters.
Check Receiver Connections and Range Needs
Before ordering, confirm that your camera or recorder has a 3.5 mm microphone input or a USB-C port that accepts digital audio from this receiver. The quoted line-of-sight range reaches 853 feet, but obstacles and RF congestion will reduce the practical distance. Lavalier microphones are not included in the box, so budget for them separately if you prefer hidden mics over the built-in omnidirectional capsules.

Questions about this item
Does the transmitter need a battery swap or recharge after a full day of recording?
Each clip-on transmitter includes a built-in rechargeable battery that powers the unit through extended sessions; recharge via the USB-C port when the indicator shows low.
What limits the operating distance before the signal drops?
The Series IV 2.4 GHz digital link is rated for up to 853 feet line-of-sight; obstacles or RF congestion will reduce that practical range.
How hot does the receiver get and does it need extra cooling when recording non-stop?
The dual-channel receiver runs cool enough for handheld or camera-mount use all day; no fan or heatsink is required.
