Ultra Wide Angle for Sony E-Mount

The Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 is a prime wide-angle lens built for Sony Alpha E-Mount cameras with APS-C sensors. It delivers a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 18mm and a 98.9 degree angle of view. This makes it suitable for architectural, interior and landscape photography. The fast f/2.0 maximum aperture assists with low-light shooting.

Manual Focus Installation Notes

The lens mounts directly onto the Sony E-Mount bayonet without an adapter. It operates as a fully manual focus lens with no electronic contacts for autofocus or aperture control. Users must set focus and aperture by hand using the lens rings. Confirm that your camera menu is set to release the shutter without a lens attached.

12mm Focal Length and 67mm Filter Thread

The fixed 12mm focal length determines the ultra-wide field of view and cannot be changed. The front filter thread measures 67mm for attaching circular filters or a lens cap. This specification decides whether the lens matches your creative needs for wide perspectives. Buyers needing zoom versatility or autofocus should consider other options.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 12mm f/2.0 lens is delivering the 98.9° angle of view on my Sony E-mount APS-C camera?

Frame a wide interior or landscape scene; the captured field should match the 18mm full-frame equivalent and show minimal distortion at the edges, confirming the 98.9° coverage.

What comes in the box with the silver 12mm f/2.0 and which 67 mm accessories must I buy separately?

The lens ships with front and rear caps; 67 mm filters, a lens hood and a protective pouch are not included and must be purchased separately.

Should I choose the silver 12mm f/2.0 E-mount version or a different mount for my Sony APS-C body?

Select the Sony E-mount version; it is built for APS-C sensors and provides the 18mm equivalent focal length, while other mounts will not fit your camera.
