Rokinon CV24MN 24mm T/1.5 Cine Lens for Nikon

24mm T/1.5 cine lens for Nikon F

The Rokinon CV24MN is a manual-focus wide-angle cine lens built for Nikon F mount cameras. It covers full-frame sensors with an 84.1° angle of view and APS-C sensors with a 61.8° angle of view. The T/1.5 to T/22 aperture range uses a de-clicked iris ring for smooth exposure changes during recording. Geared focus and iris rings share standard positions with other Rokinon VDSLR lenses for follow-focus compatibility.

Manual focus and de-clicked aperture

Focus must be pulled by hand; there is no autofocus motor in this design. The minimum focusing distance is 9.8 inches (0.25 m) from the image plane. The de-clicked aperture ring turns freely between T/1.5 and T/22 without detents, which removes click noise but also removes tactile stop confirmation. Aperture and focus scales are printed on both sides of the barrel so a focus puller can read them from either position.

77 mm filter thread and removable hood

The front of the lens accepts 77 mm screw-in filters and includes a petal-shaped hood that threads onto the same diameter. The hood can be removed when shooting with a matte box. The barrel is constructed of 13 elements in 12 groups including two aspherical lenses with multi-layer coating to control flare and chromatic aberration. Some camera bodies may require the shutter lock to be disengaged before the lens will operate.
