Connects Rokinon Nikon F lenses to a computer via USB 2.0 for firmware updates, back-focus calibration and manual-focus speed adjustment
The Rokinon Nikon F Mount Lens Station is an optional accessory built exclusively for Rokinon Nikon F mount lenses. It connects a compatible lens to a computer via USB 2.0 so the free Lens Manager software can update firmware and calibrate back focus. Photographers who own these specific lenses gain direct control over focus performance without sending gear to a service centre.
The station upgrades the trial-and-error process of adjusting back focus by hand or relying on camera-body micro-adjustments. The jump is worth it when a lens consistently front- or back-focuses and the camera lacks fine-tune settings, or when a firmware update adds new focus-speed options. Users who never experience focus drift or who only shoot with native camera lenses will not need this tool.
The device plugs into a USB 2.0 port on a system running macOS 10.10 or later, or Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 with at least 1 GB RAM and 1 GB free disk space. A monitor resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher is required to run the Lens Manager interface. It frees up workflow time by letting the photographer recalibrate at the desk instead of shipping the lens out, but it does not function as a general-purpose lens mount or adapter for shooting.
