189-Piece Mechanical Dinosaur Kit

This 189-piece wooden puzzle builds a moving dinosaur model designed for ages 14 and up. It targets teens, adults and families who enjoy hands-on STEM projects that combine engineering with a display-worthy result.

Beginner-Friendly Assembly Process

Precision laser-cut pieces fit together without glue or tools, and the manufacturer estimates about four hours for completion. The wind-up gear system must be aligned carefully; misaligned teeth can stop the walking motion, so patience during the gear meshing stage avoids the most common issue.

Kinetic Display Model With Limits

The finished dinosaur walks forward under spring-assisted leg power and features a swaying tail and amber eyes for shelf display. It suits single builds or parent-child sessions but offers no motorised option, remote control or programmable movement beyond the manual crank.

What comes in the box and do I need to buy glue or tools separately?

The kit includes 189 precision laser-cut wooden pieces; no glue or extra tools are required for assembly.

Which version should I choose — the 189-piece dinosaur or one of the other model kits?
