Compact 96% layout with 98 keys

The Rosewill NEON S96 BR is a mechanical gaming keyboard that fits a full complement of keys into a 96% form factor. Tri-mode connectivity covers USB-C, 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth for use with Windows and macOS. A 3750 mAh rechargeable battery powers the board when the cable is not connected. Hot-swappable sockets accept three- and five-pin switches for easy customisation.

Tactile Brown switches and PBT keycaps

The factory-installed Brown switches deliver a tactile bump without an audible click, suiting typists and gamers who want feedback but less noise. Double-shot PBT keycaps resist shine and keep legends readable over time. An OLED screen shows battery level, connection mode, date and custom GIFs. A multi-function knob adjusts volume, lighting and mode selection with a twist or press.

Hot-swappable switch sockets

Only three- and five-pin mechanical switches are supported in the hot-swap sockets; soldered or proprietary switch types will not fit. Buyers who need a different switch feel can swap them without tools, while those who prefer a fixed, non-removable switch plate should look elsewhere. The 98-key layout includes a volume knob but omits a dedicated number pad block.

Questions about this item

What comes with the Rosewill NEON S96 BR and what must I buy separately?

The keyboard ships with the 98-key unit, a USB-C cable for wired use and charging, and a 2.4 GHz wireless dongle. No extra accessories are required for any of the three connection modes.

Which version of the NEON S96 BR should I choose for a tactile feel?

This model is equipped with Brown tactile switches and double-shot PBT keycaps. The switches are hot-swappable for 3-pin and 5-pin replacements if you prefer a different feel later.

How long will the 3750 mAh battery last in daily wireless use?

The 3750 mAh rechargeable battery powers both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless modes. Actual runtime depends on RGB brightness, OLED screen activity, and polling rate, so charge via USB-C when the on-screen indicator shows low power.
