A dual-bay enclosure that holds one M.2 NVME SSD and one 2.5 or 3.5-inch SATA drive, supports offline cloning between them, and connects via USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C at 10Gbps
External Interface USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C
Model SSD / HDD / NVMe Cloner
The Rosewill RS-NS-CL is a two-bay enclosure that accepts one M.2 NVME drive and one 2.5 or 3.5 inch SATA drive simultaneously. It targets users who need to clone between those formats or access both drives over a single USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C connection. The unit supports up to 4 TB on the M.2 bay and 18 TB on the SATA bay.
Drives slide into the ABS chassis without screws and the included 12V/3A adapter powers both bays. Pressing the dedicated clone button starts a standalone duplication from source to target without a host computer attached. The only common pitfall is inserting an M.2 SATA drive into the NVME-only slot, which will not be recognised.
Under continuous workloads the USB 3.1 Gen 2 link maintains near-peak throughput for the NVME bay while the SATA bay settles at its native 5Gbps limit. The compact 108.4 x 44.3 x 24.1 mm enclosure has no active cooling, so extended heavy writes on the NVME drive may trigger thermal throttling after several minutes.

After pressing the clone button, watch the LED indicators; when all lights stay solid the duplication is complete, then connect the Type-C cable to a host and verify the target drive appears with the expected 4 TB NVMe or 18 TB SATA capacity.
The package includes the dual-bay ABS enclosure and a 12V/3A AC adapter; you must provide one M.2 NVMe SSD (2230, 2240, 2260 or 2280) and one 2.5" or 3.5" SATA HDD or SSD.
Bay one accepts M.2 NVMe drives in 2230, 2240, 2260 or 2280 form factors up to 4 TB; bay two takes any 2.5" or 3.5" SATA HDD or SSD up to 18 TB.
