Clear Tritan cereal keeper

The Rubbermaid Brilliance 2146788 is a 32oz airtight food storage container made from shatterproof, BPA-free Tritan plastic. Its crystal-clear body offers 360-degree visibility so you can identify contents at a glance. The flip-top lid latches to form a 100% airtight seal that keeps cereal fresh for longer. It is microwave safe, freezer safe and dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.

Replaces open boxes and loose bags

This container upgrades from torn cereal bags or ill-fitting lids that let air and moisture in. The jump is worth it when you want a single vessel that holds a full 32-ounce box, pours with one hand and stacks neatly in the pantry. The airtight latch prevents staleness and spills that open packaging cannot. Odor- and stain-resistant material survives repeated cycles without retaining smells.

Holds a full 32oz box with stacking headroom

The 10.25 x 4.75 x 9.38 in footprint accommodates an entire family-size cereal box while leaving room to stack additional Brilliance units above. It comfortably handles dry goods like pasta, rice or snacks that fit within the 32oz volume. It runs out when you need to store bulk bags larger than 32 ounces or liquids that require a wider pour opening.

Questions about this item

How much pantry shelf depth does the 10.25 in x 4.75 in footprint need?

The container measures 10.25 inches deep by 4.75 inches wide, so allow at least that much flat shelf space plus a little clearance for the flip-top lid to open fully.

Do the latches on the flip-top lid need a special technique to create the 100% airtight seal?

Press the lid down evenly until both side latches click shut; the seal fails if only one side engages, so use both hands the first few times until the motion feels natural.

Will the Tritan plastic body cloud or retain odours after repeated dishwasher cycles?

The shatter-resistant Tritan material is specified as odour- and stain-resistant and dishwasher-safe, so it stays clear and neutral through normal machine washing.
