Rubbermaid 7 gal Fire-Resistant Wastebasket

This rectangular indoor wastebasket holds seven gallons and is built from plastic with a fiberglass-reinforced texture. The black finish suits offices, lobbies and other commercial spaces where fire safety matters. It stands free without a lid and ships as a single stationary unit.

Suits buyers needing a certified fire-resistant

The open-top design works where lids are not required by code or where frequent access is preferred. Facilities that need covered containment, larger capacities or outdoor-rated receptacles should consider other models.

Place on any level floor and it is ready to use

No assembly, tools or fasteners are required because the unit is moulded as one piece. The only common issue is underestimating the footprint; check the ten-inch width and fourteen-inch depth against the available alcove before ordering.

Questions about this item

What floor space does the 10 1/2 in by 14 1/2 in footprint need?

The rectangular base measures 10 1/2 inches wide by 14 1/2 inches deep, so clear a flat indoor area at least that large for the free-standing bin.

Will the 15 1/2 in height fit under my existing desk overhang?

At 15 1/2 inches tall the open-top container clears most standard desk returns, but measure your specific clearance before placing it.

How can I confirm the fire-resistant rating is active after placing it?

The unit ships with the fire-resistant construction built in; no activation step is required — simply verify the FG254300BLA label on the base.
