55-Gallon Round Trash Can

The Rubbermaid FG265500DGRN BRUTE is a 55-gal round container built for commercial grounds maintenance. Its dark-green plastic body includes a UV protectant for indoor or outdoor use. The stationary, free-standing design suits facilities that need high-capacity waste collection without a lid.

Snap-Fit Rim and UV Protectant

A snap-fit rim allows compatible lids or dollies to attach securely when required. The integrated UV protectant slows colour fade and material brittleness during prolonged sun exposure. These features extend service life in exposed loading-dock or campus environments.

55-Gal Capacity with 33-in Height

The 55-gal volume handles heavy daily refuse in parks, warehouses or event venues. At 33 in tall and 26 1/2 in diameter, the can fits standard dolly frames but may be too tall for under-counter clearance. Buyers needing a lidded unit or smaller footprint should consider other configurations.

Questions about this item

Does the 55 gal round body need any liner or bag replacement over time?

The can is a single-piece plastic shell with no liner; only standard 55 gal trash bags are consumed and replaced as they fill.

What part reaches its limit first when the can sits outside in full sun day after day?

The dark green plastic includes UV protectant, but prolonged exposure will eventually embrittle the wall material before any other component fails.

How much heat builds up inside the 33 in high container when it bakes in direct sunlight all day?

The open top vents naturally, so internal temperature tracks ambient air; the dark green wall absorbs more solar heat than a light colour but no active cooling is involved.
