50-Gallon Square Recycling Bin

This blue plastic recycling bin holds 50 gallons of bottles, cans and paper in a square footprint. It is designed for offices, schools and public areas that generate high volumes of recyclable material.

Open-Top Single-Opening Limits

The container has one open top with no lid, so contents remain visible and accessible at all times. This design suits indoor collection points where frequent emptying is practical and odour control is not a primary concern.

Stationary Floor Placement Decides Fit

The bin sits fixed on the floor at 34 inches tall and 19 inches square, requiring a permanent clear floor area. It cannot be wheeled or nested, so buyers needing mobile or stackable containers should choose a different model.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 50 gal square bin or a smaller round one for a high-paper office?

The 50 gal square Slim Jim container is designed for areas of high paper generation, giving maximum capacity in a 19 1/2 in footprint.

Will the 34 1/4 in height fit under standard counter overhangs?

At 34 1/4 in tall, the bin matches common counter heights; measure your clearance to confirm it slides underneath.

Does the open-top design limit use with automated lifters?

The single open top has no integrated lifting points, so the stationary bin is emptied manually rather than by mechanical lifters.
