A 48-port managed switch with 16 multigigabit PoH ports, 32 PoE+ ports and eight 10 GbE SFP+ uplinks, stacking up to 12 units with a 740 W PoE budget and dual power-supply slots
The Ruckus ICX 7150 Z-Series is a rack-mountable managed switch designed for enterprise access-layer deployments. It provides 48 RJ-45 ports split between 16 multigigabit PoH ports and 32 standard PoE+ ports, plus eight 10 Gigabit SFP+ uplinks. IT teams needing high-density power for wireless access points, cameras and IoT devices in a single 1U chassis will find the port mix matches modern edge requirements.
A single 920 W AC power supply ships with the unit and a second PSU slot is available for redundancy. The switch delivers a 740 W PoE budget from the included supply, expandable to 1,480 W when the second slot is populated. Ruckus specifies silent operation suitable for office environments, indicating the single fan runs at low acoustic levels under typical loads.
The included 920 W power supply enables immediate deployment with full 740 W PoE capacity without additional purchases. Management interfaces comprise a serial console, out-of-band Ethernet, USB-C and a USB port for external file storage, simplifying initial configuration and firmware updates. Stacking support for up to 12 switches allows the stack to be managed as a single logical device, reducing ongoing administrative overhead.

Mount the switch using the included brackets, insert the supplied 920W power supply into one of the two PSU slots, connect the console cable to the RJ-45 serial port for initial configuration, and do not forget to attach the grounding lug before powering on.
The single internal fan is the only moving part; plan to clean its intake vents periodically and replace the fan assembly if bearing noise appears, while the second PSU slot lets you add a redundant power supply later without downtime.
The 740W PoE budget will be reached before the 10GbE uplink capacity, so total powered-device draw across the 16 PoH and 32 PoE+ ports caps simultaneous high-power operation.
