Compact music player for active listeners

The RUIZU unit packs 64 GB of internal storage and accepts micro SD cards up to 128 GB, giving plenty of room for large lossless libraries. Bluetooth 5.3 lets you pair wireless headphones or speakers without cables during workouts. A 2.4 inch LCD screen handles menus and video playback in AMV or AVI format at 240 by 320 resolution. The metal body feels solid in hand and includes a built-in speaker for quick listening without headphones.

Battery life shifts with connection type

Wired playback with the screen off reaches 48 hours from the 560 mAh lithium-polymer cell, while Bluetooth streaming drops to roughly 6.5 hours. The manufacturer also quotes a 45 hour figure for general music playback. Recharging via the supplied Type-C cable takes about 2.5 hours, so a short top-up restores a full day of wired listening.

Simple drag-and-drop setup with a few caveats

The player mounts as a mass-storage device, so music and video files copy over like a USB drive — no proprietary software required. A 3.5 mm wired headset and Type-C cable are included in the box. Bluetooth pairing can be finicky with some older headsets, and the small screen makes long text such as e-books hard to read. Video files must be converted to the supported AMV or AVI container before transfer.
