What it is and who it's for

This compact Bluetooth 4.2 adapter works as both a transmitter and a receiver for 3.5 mm audio gear. It lets you stream music from a phone to a wired speaker system or send TV audio to wireless headphones without cables.

Build and daily use

A plastic shell houses a built-in rechargeable battery that runs on 3.7 V power. The single 3.5 mm jack handles stereo input or output, and the unit pairs quickly for a stable link up to 20 metres away.

The spec that decides fit

Bluetooth 4.2 is the only wireless standard supported, with A2DP and AVRCP profiles for stereo streaming. There is no aptX, AAC or memory-card slot, so buyers needing those codecs or local playback should look elsewhere.
